Designed in collaboration with local architecture firm SEN+, our proposal Little Wings was selected as the winning design for the new multipurpose covered court and annex building at Kaohsiung American School (KAS 高雄美國學校).
Instead of keeping "study" and "sport" as isolated programs, Little Wings introduces a third pillar to the campus: Social Connection. Inspired by the spirit of the ancient Greek Agora, this project reimagines the traditional covered court and annex building as a fluid, flexible hub where learning, athletics, and daily campus life intersect.
The design physically separates the masses of the Annex and the Sports Court to carve out a central, active "+" space between them. Molded by the site's natural wind, sun, and environmental conditions, Little Wings acts as an open stage for the community—transforming effortlessly into an outdoor concert venue, a school fair market, or a collaborative learning commons. The architecture is designed not just to house activities, but to foster interaction and a shared campus experience for students.
